Plaster-boarding
Same as dry-walling, although usually fixed to a joist or timber to maintain sturdiness and durability. Again a final finish of skim is applied over the top of this providing a neat finish.
Skimming
The final touch in any interior plaster work, this is the final smooth finish that is applied before painted over. I can also re-skim walls and ceilings which have suffered wear & tear. This is quite common with the general movements of a property over time. If the wall is sturdy enough and just needs a neaten up then we can coat the wall in plaster. This provides a nice neat finish making the wall look new again and ready for paint.
House Extensions
Our plastering services are available for anything from two floor extensions to conservatory full build or loft conversions.
Drywalling
Also known as Dot & Dab – Plaster is stuck to a high suction background (such as brick or breezeblock) using a drywall adhesive. This provides a nice, neat wall as well as an extra skin of insulation.
